The Eastern Ontario Training Board (EOTB) was established in 1998 to guide workforce planning and development in support of government training programs and employment-related services. This includes labour market research, identifying priorities for training; making recommendations on programs and services to ensure they are accessible, effective, and responsive to local needs; and working with community partners to resolve labour market and socio-economic development issues.
Under the supervision of the Eastern Ontario Training Board (EOTB), the incumbent will provide support to EOTB administration and project staff.
The incumbent will:
Prepare, edit and proofread correspondence, presentations, brochures, publications, reports, and related material.
Record and prepare minutes of meetings and notices of meetings.
Conduct surveys of employers to facilitate employer engagement.
Coordinate the flow of information internally and externally.
Answer telephone and electronic enquiries and relay telephone calls and messages. Schedule client meetings with project staff.
Set up and maintain manual and computerized information filing systems ensuring client confidentiality.
As assigned, contribute to the success of various contracted projects addressing labour market shortages and/or the unique needs of designated groups.
Assist in participating or conducting special events as required.
Perform all office-related functions as assigned by EOTB administration.
Required Knowledge, Skills and Experience
The incumbent will possess a college or university degree or diploma and/or appropriate related experience.
Skills necessary for success include strong computer literacy skills including Google, Microsoft Office software, written and verbal communication, analytic ability, organizational and time management skills. Proficiency in both English and French languages is an asset.
